Smile Thanks everyone! Couple more questions

Thanks for your input everyone! It sounds like Chapel Hill is on our 'must see' list. I wondered if anyone knew what the price range in this area is for rental homes and/or leases. I will also check Craigslist to get an idea as well. Also, any ideas on good community colleges in the area? My daughter will be a freshman in August. Many thanks

Wake Tech is a solid community college that is expanding. They have a solid math program that transfers easily to the state colleges. I hear from colleagues that Wake Tech has good programs all around. Durham Tech is pretty good as well. I took a few courses there and the professors were quick to answer questions and keep office hours.

I can't speak to Wake Tech's degree programs and transfer of credits, but I am currently enrolled in their continuing ed department for a Web design class. I have to say that in 4 classes I've learned so much, and the value is incredible. I'm paying $60 for 30 hours of instruction - the same class in Northern Virginia (where I moved from) would probably be several hundred dollars, if not more.

Good luck to you and your family!
