A hot dog aint a hot dog if it aint red! (Carolina Packers, Bright Leaf, or Jessie Jones)

Ashworth's in downtown Cary, red hot dogs and home made orange-aide!!!
Also, there's a convienient store in southern Wake Co. on Old stage Rd. at Rock Service Station Rd. that sells good dogs too. I think they're 2 for $1.29.

Brightleaf UGH! The Durham Bulls sells them and I hate em'. I tried one last season and he taste is really odd-certianly not good. I wish they'd get the Beefmaster hotdogs back. Buying local is great but only if the taste is great! I do by the way like red hot dogs. Give me Jessie Jones anyday!

I roasted a many Jessie Jones hotdogs on the end of a wire coat hanger while growing up I still love the regional hotdogs still sold in the area. Jessie Jones Night" at Devereaux Meadow packed the old ballpark to near standing room only every year. It was a great family night out with lots of fun and prizes. I dang near choked to death while eating the free hotdogs one year, and I got my arms around that greased pig on more than one occasion before he slipped away

Yep it's hard to find a good Chicago-style dog around here. Cloo's is the closest we've found.

I believe The Trolley Stop still has a sit down restaurant downtown Wilmington as well. They are certainly yummy! I do love the one at the beach the most and eat there as much as possible!

I'm not a Yankee and I love Sabretts, Hebrew Nationals and Nathans but those are my Northern dogs, For my southern dogs I love Kings sandwich shop, The Dog House, The Trolley Stop, and Fairview Dairy in Sanford, NC. I have no idea what kind of hotdogs they use, just know that they are yummy!

snoopy's is terrible. Soggy dogs with no snap. Steve's is the best. It's near Triangle Town Center in the shopping center on Capital with the Burger King and Arby's up front.
