Im looking to get a photo or two blown up and framed...is this something that can be done over the internet, or do you do this at a local place? Anyone have any recommendations in either scenario?

Dont want to spend a ton, just want to get a few pictures done, no bigger than 48x36 or something.

Most drug stores can print it for you, but you'd have to frame it yourself or get it framed elsewhere.

Try Kinko's for posters. (FedEx Kinko's)

Maybe they can recommend framers, too.

JW PHOTOLABS
JW Photo can certainly do it if you are working with film negatives or a printed photo.

If you have them on digital media, Staples can do it, I think up to 42x36. They will send the job to their print center, and back in a few days. Ask at your local Staples print shop.

Framing is another question. I would just get that bid from a few places.

Kidd's at the Flea Market at the Fairgroundsis great for framing. They're in a building near the Grandstand. Great people and great work.

I saw Walgreens has some "fathead" style blowups (you can take a picturte of your kid playing a sport and put them on it) available for way less than 50, so they may be an option.

Do you have the resolution to print that big?

I use mpix.com for all my printing and they do a fantastic job. They have options when you print to frame as well. They just started a 25% off large prints sale, which will really help. Printing that big won't be cheap.
