Does anyone know why Camille's closed? Not doing well in this economy, not enough customers etc? Is Salsarita owned by the same people? Is there a connection to them both closing or is it just a coincidence?

A lot of closures recently in Brier Creek. Salsarita's, Camille's, Uno's, Payless Shoe Store.... I wonder if they raised the rent for those shopping centers for 2010 or something?

I'm curious too. I got an email from Uno's today saying Brier Creek location was closed. I thought Brier Creek was a happening area.

I had heard that Uno's was closing soon as well, but was not sure why. Honestly the food there is never great, and the service has sucked most times I have gone. It was never too busy either, and a lot of the places are slam packed Friday and Saturday.

Salasrita always looked dead as well.

I can't weep over the loss of Uno or Payless. Uno was mediocre at best, with crummy service. Payless has nasty shoes.

Too bad about Uno's. I've never gone to the Brier Creek location but have been meaning to go to get some Chicago style pizza. I bet there were a lot of people like me who wanted to go eventually but didn't feel very motivated.

Where was the Payless store? I don't think I've ever seen it.

Payless was located on the other side of Glenwood, the same side as WalMart.

As someone who has asthma, the toxic smell (plastics) of that store, and Kirklands for that matter, with the overwhelming Potpourri, was enough to send me running for the door.

I hate to see UNO's go, they are one of the few who have GF Pizza in the area.

Something else is getting ready to open in the UNO location. They were working there yesterday and new take out parking signs were up, but I forgot the name that was on them. Seems like it was 5 or 6 letters IIRC.
