Good morning. We are in the process of moving to Clayton, and we were focusing our search on Glen Laurel. But I've been reading about the fires in that subdivision, along with arson in a child care facility just outside the development. Is this anything to be concerned about? We liked what we saw when we came to visit, but I must admit we noticed cars (and landscapers trucks) seemed to drive very fast through the neighborhood. Also, while we did notice some kids walking around, it wasn't exactly what we expected. We thought we'd see kids riding bikes and playing on the playgrounds. It was a beautiful day, and we were there on Saturday afternoon.

Should we change our focus to Riverwood or Flowers? We'd like to have many children around, along with a feeling of safety.

Thank you for any and all comments.

I don't know why someone would target the Glen Laurel subdivision and set fires to homes. I hope the police will catch these people asap.

I have sold homes in Glen Laurel and find that my clients like it very much. I think the n'hood is beautiful and the location is great.

I don't know of much crime in that area but you should always check the crime stats when considering any area.

Vicki

I sold a home down the street in Summerlyn last Fall and my clients also love the area. I agree with Vicki - check the crime stats no matter where you decide to go. Good luck!
