Not in the farmers section. Even in a normal year it is too early for strawberries, this year has been especially cold so I would expect the strawberries to be late. Check back mid-to-late April.

From what the strawberry farm told me, the best strawberries are to be picked at the end of April beginning of May. Most strawberry farms grow a Canadian variety to get them earlier. My disclaimer: I could be wrong.

I know they have greenhouse strawberries at the Carrboro Farmer's Mkt now. I couldn't get there on Saturday, but maybe this week. I wouldn't be surprised if they have them at the State Mkt, too. Do they have a website with what's in season?

They mention having strawberries in the radio ad for the upcoming craft show being held at the State Farmer's Market too.

You might try contacting some of the farms directly to see when to expect fresh, local strawberries...
