Default Where to find Good Babysitter?
Hi Everyone,

I just moved out here with my husband and 10 week old baby. We are in corporate housing right now but will be moving into our new home very shortly. I was wondering if there are any websites where you can find a babysitter. I am very hesistant about finding a babysitter since my baby is so young but need the help! Since we haven't moved into our new home yet, I can't ask neighbors if they know of anyone plus there really aren't many people living in the neighborhood yet. I have a postpartum doula helping but at $25 hour I am in desperate need of finding something more cost effective. Thanks!

Where do you live? If you are in or around Wake Forest, the Seminary has a great list of women. We've used many of them.

Have you looked into getting on a local "mommy's listserv" of some sort? My wife is on the Durham listserv and there are always recommendations for babysitters. Alternatively, you could hit the local craigslist and ask for references from potential sitters.
