Default Suggestions for subdivisions in Apex

I'm looking for the certain criteria:
1) A house that is a 3/2 at least 1400-1600 Sq ft (variety of houses, not cookie-cutter) Looking to spend about $150K
2) lot size at least 1/2 acre
3) Maybe a community pool (If so, what are the annual fees?
4) Doesn't have to have homeowner's, just clean and safe ( I have to park my small travel trailer and my husband's landscape trailer)
5) Close to shopping

Ya stumped me. #1 is very easy to find, #2 probably less so (I know a few subdivisions 1500 sq ft/ $150K on .25 acres, but not .5). A community pool around here means an HOA and that means, good luck parking a trailer, let alone 2 anywhere near your home.

Other then that, it's all close to shopping, clean and safe. You might be better off looking outside of a development and more at the bigger land parcels on the outskirts of Apex.

I'm sure there are others that know more about property in Apex, just thought I'd give your post a bump :-)

I would have to agree with the pp, regarding parking a trailer. Most of the "newer areas" (meaning holly springs, much of apex and cary, fuquay,) were not really developed until about 10-15 years ago. So, most of the neighborhoods and especially the ones with community pools are going to have strict home owner's associations, meaning NO trailers. You would have to look for older established neighborhoods that don't have HOA, but also probably will not have a community pool. They may have a pool people can join that is close by.

Becky,
What you are describing just doesn't exist in Apex. You might find something in Fuquay Varina or Willow Spring, or Garner.

You will have to compromise on either price, neighborhood, or lot size.

Fuquay would be fine, but I was trying to find something more centrally located. I will probably work in Cary, So I wanted to be a little closer. Holly Springs was nice, but a little remote the last time I looked at it 5 years ago. Although, I wouldn't be suprised if it has grown. Thanks for the info. What are the average HOA fees?

You might consider a home not in a subdivision neighborhood. No regulations. No HOA, or HOA dues.
You might score an older home on a nice lot at a decent price. Well water and a septic system might be considerations.
