Most of the places mentioned are "north indian" cuisine. If you want to try something different, tower in morrisville(for veg) and kandas (also in morrisville, non veg) is the way to go.

Default Spicy Chickpeas

All this talk of Indian food is making me crave Chana Masala over rice with a couple of pieces of naan bread. Yum!!!

I'm kind of surprised that people are raving over Azrita - are you sure? Azrita isn't new - and it was the most bland Indian food I've ever had in my life. Like they made it bland on purpose for people who didn't like Indian food.

If there's a new one in Brier Creek it's probably not Azrita...

Mint in Chapel Hill is really good too.

Ah, just googled and there's a new Indian restaurant called Zayka in Brier Creek. I bet that's the one getting the rave reviews (if my google search is any indication). It's near the Earthfare. Gotta try it.

BTW: India Garden at the Cary mall is gone (it's something else now). My DH really actually used to enjoy that place and it had been around a LONG time. He (we both) also really likes Chef of India in Chatham Square in Cary, which used to be Suchi.
