My girlfriend loves Indian food and I'd like to do something nice for her. What is the best Indian restaurant in the Triangle?

There's a guy in RTP called Naval. He's had a great reputation for yrs. People love him so much he caters Indian weddings. But I can't remember the name of his biz it might be Bombay?

Royal India was once voted Best Indian. I've eaten there. It's good. But the atmosphere is more family style in my opinion.

Cashmir in Durham is good. I just looked at Saffron that Raleighmark suggested...wow! The presentation of the food and the ambiance of the place stands head and shoulders above the other places! I'm adding that to my list of places to try!

Saffron is in a league of its own. The weekday lunch buffet is $10, a little pricey compared to other lunch buffets but worth it IMO.

I have always liked Saffron too. Then again, I don't get out to eat much anymore. . . .

I have a friend, who is Indian, and he used to go to Saffron all the time. Now he says that there is a new Indian restaurant in Brier Creek that he likes even more. Not sure of the name though.

My husband is Indian and he LOVES the new place in Brier Creek (can't remember the name either!) over Saffron, which he says is good, but not very authentic.

I wondered what an Indian person's impression would be of Saffron...good to know. I'm still looking forward to trying it

Is the Brier Creek one listed here the same place? RTP India , Triangle Indians - Yellow Pages of Indian Restaurants in the RTP / Triangle Area (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill)

That would be Naval Sethi and Bombay Grille. A very nice family and good food!

I also say Saffron for the best overall experience...and some darn good food, too!
