Looking to smoke some spare ribs this weekend, but I'm not sure who has the best ribs. Tried some from WallyWorld last week, but will never get them there again. Too much fat on them. And BJ's only has Baby Backs. So where is the best place to pick up some ribs?

Where are you? The new Meat House on Kildaire Farm Rd. in Cary has everything. Their selection and quality are right on. When you cook 'em up, just holler and we'll come right over!

Sorry. I'm in Durham, but close to Raleigh (Brier Creek Area), and I'm willing to travel for good ribs.

How about the Pork outlet at the Raleigh Farmers Market? Are their meats any good?

Harris Teeter has ribs on Saturday...a rack is around $10.99. They're pretty darn good (DH and I think so!). They also are on special the following day for $6.99.

Cooked or uncooked? I'm looking for uncooked ribs.

We got a Whole Mess of Ribs for a party last summer from the Nahunta Pork outlet at the Raleigh Farmers Market, and they were good, plus reasonably priced. If you want amazing pork and are willing to splurge, I highly recommend MAE Farm (also at Raleigh FM, but in the enclosed building with individual stalls, not an outside storefront). We've gotten incredible ribs from them, great bacon, and pork chops that sent my normally stoic father-in-law into rapture.
