I stuck my head in last night - it was really packed, everyone was having a great time, I felt like I had arrived about 3 beers too late.

I didn't think much off ambience - concrete floors, sparsely furnished, loud music, lots of TVs. More of a sports bar than a tavern, I don't know if I would go there for "dinner". Perhaps they are still working on that.

Still, it is a much needed addition to area and I will be going back - starting with the live music on Monday night.

Saucy Aussie, we went for dinner last night and my impression was same as yours--more "bar" than "restaurant". The food was fine (although my burger was undercooked), the beer selection was great, but it was so loud we couldn't talk to each other without shouting. It's a good addition to Holly Springs, obviously very popular & looked like a pretty fun bar scene, but definitely not a place for a quiet meal...oh, I am showing my age here.

Here is the description I found of tonight's band - I just have to check this out. $3 NC pints too - will be nice to try something different, I have been drinking Aviator dry!

"After spending nearly a decade locked up for crimes against humanity, the members of the Whiskey Trail Outlaws learned their lessons and decided to put the tales of their pasts into song. These songs of love, murder, and great calamity are unlike anything you will hear on FM radio. This ain't city music."
