I just bought a house and need some furniture. I've read many furniture threads on here. They are really helpful. Thank you.

I have been to FLS multiple times, and several other stores in High Point and Raleigh. I've found some furniture I like at FLS, but am trying to figure out if I can get it cheaper than FLS pricing.

If I write down the manufacturer and model of furniture I like, does anyone know of a store that would be willing to quote me a price and sell this furniture -- even if the store doesn't currently carry the make and model?

Thank you.

I thought FLS is this suggested destination for less-priced furniture. How much more of a discount are you expecting to get off of the FLS pricing?

I found a guy in Granite Falls NC through EBAY who had a new Hickory White bedroom suite listed that I had fallen in love with at FLS. Even paying shipping (which you have to also pay through FLS) he was able to save me a boatload of $. He was also able to get additional pieces for less than FLS was.

They are called Worthington Furniture Gallery - (828) 396-6343. If that gets scratched dm me for phone - not sure if I can put it up? I'll dig around my ebay saved stores and see if he comes up... if so I'll dm you that link as another route to reach them.

It's been almost 5 years, but I think they are still in business. Hard to say these days. Good luck!

I would call Scott at Rolesville Furniture for sure - they are a staple in the area and were able to get me some Ashley stuff at SIGNIFICANTLY lower than advertised prices (like 50% of Ashley).

Quite a few furniture retailers have failed and customer deposits were lost.

Only use a credit card and be sure the order specifies a GUARANTEED delivery date before your credit card chargeback rights on the deposit expire.

These are very risky transactions in this economy.

I did a lot of research on furniture pricing and got the best prices from Boyle's. You can email them with make and model and they will get back to you with pricing. Their prices beat everyone I checked with either online or locally. They have a great website, too, with links to the manufacturers they carry. I also paid a one time delivery fee and they delivered each piece as it came in for a total of 4 separate deliveries. I highly recommend checking with them before buying elsewhere. I remember at the time, approx 18 mos. ago, FLS was a lot higher in price than Boyle's was. If you need further info, feel free to DM me and I'll be happy to help.
