Anyone know where exactly the new Walmart is going to be that is opening in Apex in the Fall? I read about this on MyNC.com but had no idea that one was getting built in Apex, and I live there.

Is it going to be a Super Walmart? I would imagine so.

Surprised they're putting it there. There's a new Super Walmart further down 55 in Holly Springs and another Walmart just up Route 1 in Cary (at Tryon). Both maybe 5-7 min drive away. Guess they really are expanding everywhere!

I heard they are closing the Cary Tryon store because Cary would not let them make the changes to become a Super at that location. Not sure of the accuracy though.

I don't know if they could fit a Super Walmart in that Cary location - and ugh, they should definitely close that store. It's nasty! I currently drive to Holly Springs every couple months to hit up the Walmart, so the Apex one will be a bit closer.

Thumbs down No more Wal-Marts

People complain about corporations controlling our lives but everybody is so happy when another one comes to town to destroy local businesses.

Yes its been open for awhile. It is off the Peakway. When you exit US 1 to 55 it is right in front of you but you have to go to Apex Peakway to get to the parking lot.

just southwest of where 55 crosses US 1. Getting off US 1 South take a right onto 55 heading west - take a left at your first light.
