Hey, I'm new to the triangle area and I live on leadmine near crabtree mall and i was considering joining a gym, I don't do much weight training and special classes aren't that important but i can't seem to find a price on anything anywhere?

Can you help with:
Price?
Equipment?
Comparison to other gyms?
Staff?

Thanks

the last i heard O2 was running between $35-$50 a month. it all depends if you want access to 1 gym or all of the O2 gyms in the area. they do a variety of promotions so its hard to say what it will cost.

i personally think O2 is one of the best gyms in the area but i mostly do workout classes. also, you dont have to worry about them going out of business on you like some of the other gyms i have belonged to in the past.

When I lived in that area, I was a member at Golds Gym. With the membership, I could use the North Hills, Celebration, or Pleasant Valley facilities. (Possibly more but I can't remember.) It was around $30 a month?

I only took a class or two at Gold's but did use all the equipment. The equipment was always well maintained.

I've also held memberships at the Y, O2, and Lifestyle. All the memberships were around the same price. The Y didn't require a contract but had the largest initial fee.

Gold's, O2, and Lifestyle all offer free passes.
