We are looking at buying a new home in western Cary. We are considering Harmony Reserve by Pulte, but the price will be in the $410 k - $425 K range. Our concern is that Pulte does not have a reputation for good quality, so if and when we try to resell this home, it will be hard to find a buyer for a used Pulte home in the over $400 k price range. Any feedback in this regard will be a big help.

It is not reputation that you will have an issue with it is the economy and the fact realestate in general has tanked and I do not see it coming back anytime soon.

Pulte's reputation is on par with the typical mass builder

Look at this way - if it concerns you then it will concern someone else too, regardless of whether the reputation is deserved or not.

I don't think Pulte is any better or worse than any of the other production builders. I know alot of people that are very happy with Harmony. Great 55 location. Convenient to RTP, 540 and 64. Beaver Creek has plenty of shopping, restaurants, movies etc. The school is right there. Those are all things to consider too and people will also take that into consideration when looking at resale.

The only neg I see is be careful with the choice of lot and 540.

Good luck.
