Default how to find jobs in Raleigh area

Does anyone have advice on how to find a job in the Raleigh area before you move when you are living in another state?
I am an office manager and do not work in a large corporation that you could put in for a transfer etc. I keep reading that one should move to NC with a job already in hand or don't move....I am not sure how that can be done....any suggestions??
Thanks

Someone in a previous thread also suggested that getting a local cell phone number with a 919 area code may help you with your job search. Though you'd need to be careful to explain that while you aren't in NC yet, you are seriously considering relocating. At least the local phone number may prevent your resume from getting tossed into the "no" pile by employers who might see an out of area number and immediately decide not to contact you.

Good luck!
