I don't know if it is sold out but Kitt's Creek would be a lot cooler if it were a TND. Just sayin'

TND = traditional neighborhood development ("new urbanism"). See Southern Village for example.

The developers of Kitt's Creek incorporated some TND elements (sidewalks, small lots, garage in back facing an alley) but they didn't include any mixed use development and instead of laying the streets out in a grid, like a streetcar suburb, they went with a culdesac model.

Here is a link to a list of traditional neighborhood developments by state:

Kitt's Creek seems so poorly designed right from the layout to the absolutely offensive houses. I would be surprised to see that it is sold out.

To answer your question, No, Ktts Creek is NOT sold out.
They are starting their single levels. Bungalows.
They have several more areas to build in, and I think some of the best locations in the subdivision are yet to be built on.

No, Kitt's Creek is not sold out. The neighborhood is still fairly new so there is a lot of development/building yet to do and it seems as though they are moving at a very fast pace which is a good sign. The prices range from 300's to high 500's as there are different types of single family homes (bungalows, cottages, village homes, and traditional homes). The homes are all beautiful and unique (in my opinion). Driving through and seeing such diversity in color and style is a refreshing change from the usual blah and boring tan and brick. The swimming pool just opened and is awesome.

I am closing on my home in Kitt's Creek next week. It's not sold out yet, they have home sites available. I'm looking forward to my 5 minute commute to RTP! I will be able to come home and eat lunch with my family!

I've met some of the neighbors, very friendly people, lots of children in the neighborhood.

The architecture is really nice, it's very unique compared to all of the neighborhoods we visited, plus the builder is rated very highly. We did a lot of research before purchasing in Kitt's Creek and it came out to be the best choice. We had to compromise lot size for commute time, but time with my family is more important than having a big lawn to mow, it's about what's important to you.
