I went to a place in Raleigh last summer to get free small granite slabs that on found of craigslist from a large company after you signed a waiver, but I can't seem to remember the name or find the post again. I'd like some for a path to a clubhouse I am building for the kids, just to make it "fancy".

Anyone with a name, number, link anything would be great!!!

Also are there any other places around Raleigh, Garner or Johnston county etc that offer free scrap materials? Tiles, small wood scraps? We could use anything for the clubhouse, the more funky the better Broken ok too!!

I appreciate it greatly for any information!

Default granite scaps in raleigh

I am also looking for some granite scraps or remnant pieces for free or a cheap price. Did you ever remember where you got those granite pieces from?

Might try calling The Scrap Exchange in Durham, the Cary Creative Center, and the Habitat ReStore. They have granite remnants from time to time.

I know you are looking for free granite scrap, but you might be able to negotiate a very low price here.

There's a granite countertop place beside Millridge Landscaping in Youngsville that I got a lot of scrap pieces from a few years ago. Used them to build a granite firepit. Dunno if they're still there, but the foreman let me fish as much as I wanted out of the dumpster. Might be worth a trip.
