I have a BS in Biology and want to get into the Clinical research field. I do not have any experience and have been trying to find an entry level job that might eventually get me a position as a CRA. What are some good programs/certificates that will help me land a job. Many Masters programs require 2 yrs experience and I am having trouble getting that. I know Durham Tech has programs but getting a hold of them over the phone has been impossible. Any good online programs available? Can someone tell me how a recent graduate with no experience get into this career. Anything from the clinical research field that will eventually help me get to where I want to be.

For what it's worth I have two friends at Quintiles both worked as lab assistants at Duke for 1-2 yrs before landing the job there. One has a BS in Biology the other happen to have her MS in biology.

I know there has been a few threads posted in the past in this forum may want to do a search.

Check out the Education tab here:

Association of Clinical Research Professionals

They list online as well as home-study options.

Nothing beats experience. I did a tour of duty with various CROs and now work for a major pharma company. Many CROs will train a CRA1 / in-house CRA - PPD, INC Research and Pharmanet come to mind. Also consider starting as a CTA or an RA. Put in a little time and then apply for a transfer within the company.
