Hello,
We are a young spanish couple (28 an 24) and in september we will be in your wonderful area. I will work at the National Cancer Institute (in the research triangle park) and we would like some advice to where is better to live, the people in there, etc, etc.
Also, my wife will not work (she will have a B2 visa), and she is a bit worried to be bored. Is she right?
Thank you very much for your help.

She will be bored if she doesn't have a "plan."

You didn't mention children. (I was never bored with children around.)

She might want to volunteer. I'm sure her language skills could come in handy for many volunteer opportunities.

I'd start looking for a place to live in Cary, but there are many great places to live.

Thank you for the information. We have no children, we are just married.
We have thought about the volunteer, and we think that it will be a great idea.
And about the place to live... I am not sure about whre to rent the house/apartment. Initially, we want to spend a maximum of 800-900$ in a normal aera. Do you think that Cary will be suitable for us?

West Cary or Morrisville would work nicely for you. So would Durham. Here's a link to Apartment Finder you can search for any area you are interested in. Raleigh Apartments for Rent | Raleigh Apartment Finder

You might want to look into www.meetup.com to see if they have a group you and your wife are interested in - it's a great resource for newcomers.

I see you are coming from Barcelona. I cannot think of your city without this popping into my head

Good luck!
