I here that the triangle is the best place to live. Give a accolade for each triangle city that it is most deserving of. Only exclusive to Triangle Cities and Suburbs.

here's mine.

Chapel Hill : Best Place to Drink in Triangle
Durham : Most Improved Triangle City
Raleigh: Most Boring Triangle City

From Dictionary.com

"accolade: any award, honor, or laudatory notice"

How is "boring" an accolade?

If you're going to start a thread giving accolades to local cities, then that's what you should do. Don't just use it as an opportunity to "dis" a city you apparently don't care for.

Regardless, it would be interesting to hear what accolades others will come up with.

baby420, I get that you love Durham - seems like you've had a lot of posts about how wonderful Durham is and how lame other areas are. I like Durham too ... but I also love Raleigh, and Chapel Hill and Cary and .....

I'm just not interested in these comparative questions of which area is better than the others.

Agreed that if we are going to do this, they should all be positive.

Mine would be:
Raleigh is the best Triangle city for free things to do.
Durham is the best Triangle city to aimlessly drive around in (am I the only one who does this? I like doing it in Durham bc I'm not familiar with the area, so every turn is new and different. When I'm done, I turn on the gps and press "go home". It's fun.)
Chapel Hill is the best Triangle City for all my kitchen needs. I clearly need to branch out from Southern Season and see the rest of CH .

Mine would be:

Raleigh...best area for families of all types. Very much "suburbia".
Durham...best area for a city feel. Most improved as the area grows.
Chapel Hill...best area for those artsy unique folks.
