No matter what you do, don't have ANY break in coverage of insurance. It will bite you in the butt later.

So even if you have to go with something minimal effective June 1, go for it until you can figure out something better.

I second this too!

Did you drop your other BCBS coverage? And is there anyway you can continue that policy? I have BCBS through my employer but it's not a NC plan. I've never had a problem with out of network issues or anything.

I still HAVE coverage. I am thinking about meeting face to face with and approved BCBS agent this week to discuss options. Sound like a good idea?

Others may have had different experiences, but none of the "approved BCBS" agents I have dealt with were good at dealing with special cases. Every time I need to get something straightened out, I go to the BCBS headquarters at 5901 Chapel Hill Road in Durham. Generally takes 1/2 month for the insurance to go into effect no matter how you do it, so you don't have much time.

I have heard that BCBS MN allows you to take your insurance with you when you relocate. Call your old BCBS office and check with them.
