Yes!! Do this! I started as a junior camp councilor of a sports camp when i was 13. The manager couldn't pay me because of my age but fed me free meals. It not only kept me out of trouble but taught me responsibility and work ethic at an early age. When i turned 16 i became a full fledged councilor at the same camp and began getting paid. It was once of the most rewarding jobs i have ever had. It will also keep you in shape chasing kids around all day and will look excellent on your resume in the future.
Stay away from mall jobs! They are boring and don't pay very well. Get outdoors. I also life guarded which you can start at 16 i think but you can start your training early so you will finish right when you turn 16.
Good Luck!!
