I haven't been out there yet and am planning to try to make it out there this week. Any recommendations on favorite vendors or things I should make a point of trying out on this trip?

The German bakery lady is tops in my book. I just can't remember her name. The guys selling seafood and the other guys selling meat (from Hillsborough) are not to be missed. Get there at 8, or the freshest will be gone!
Have fun!

Is it Southport Seafood? They are good. I've had their seafood through another venue before.

They do drive the seafood up from Southport, but I can't swear to the name. Their scallops are the best around and my son loves the shrimp. Some of the heirloom garlic and spring onions are fresh and great to have. I was not a fan of the Iron Gate wines......

I never went. After I posted, I realized it's only open on Saturdays and I have other obligations on Saturdays right now. I did go to the state farmer's market instead and they were overflowing with beautiful goodies. I hope to make it out there sometime soon, though.

I live down the street and go there as often as I can. The German baker-lady is truly wonderful. Great Harvest has their baked goodies, too. As does La Farm. There's a younger guy on the end who sells truly free-roaming chicken eggs, and he said that he will have fresh (never frozen) chicken this weekend. There's wine, pretty cupcakes, and often there's some arts/crafts/jewelry.

I second (third?) the encouragement to get there early. We went at 11 last week and missed out on a few things.
