We have a home in Knightdale we are renting. Last tenant had a (unapproved) puppy in the house. Puppy apparently had several accidents in a downstairs, carpeted room. We have had the carpets cleaned twice, but new tenants say that the stains (and faint smells) have reappeared after approximately 2 months.
The carpet is older, and therefore, I’ve always planned to install new flooring throughout the house when the current tenant moves out. However, for right now, I only want to replace the padding and carpet in this approximately 15 x 17 foot room.
I recently pulled some carpet up in my current house that is in good condition and is a higher grade carpet. (Two people have already asked if they could have the carpet). I’d like to buy a new pad for it, and have this carpet installed in the rental. This should work until the current tenant moves out and we can refloor the entire rental.
I need an installer who can KILZ the subfloor and install the “new” carpet and a new pad into the Knightdale rental at a reasonable price. Any Recommendations?
