If we move to RC we would like to live near downtown. We prefer older homes. We drove through some neighborhoods around the corner from Main st....Can someone tell me what area of town that would be considered ?
Thanks

Definitely the West Boulevard Historical District. Houses built in the 1800s.

Thanks Danny....I figured you would be the one to reply.

So then would it also be considered the NW or just W part of the city ?

Thanks

It's actually considered part of downtown or maybe even the southside. It has some of the oldest homes in Rapid City and most of them will be placed over $300,000. The commute to downtown or even the northside would be less than 10 minutes. Many lawyers live in that area. Rapid City was originally set on a grid pattern with the borders being at North Street, South Street, East Boulevard, and West Boulevard. West Boulevard is nowhere near the westside anymore.
