Are there any parts of town to avoid? Any really truly bad areas? Can you find those kinds of deals in the "good" areas?

It used to be anything north of Omaha street was the place to avoid. It seems like the violent crime is trending close to an area off of downtown and along East North street. That little area might be the closest thing to avoid.

Crime can happen anywhere. There's has been a rash of thefts and burglaries. The best thing there is make sure you keep your car locked and your stuff secured. It is mostly someone looking for an easy grab. Unfortunately, I've had tools stolen out of my pickup and saws lifted from my shed. I double check that ev rything is locked, I always bring my guns inside with me and keep my eyes open.

Are there any drug or gang type area to avoid living in? Yeah crime can happen anywhere. People burgle rich and poor alike. But when certain elements like drugs and gangs are concentrated in an area there is always an increase in crime in that area.

The drugs seem to be here and there. No real discernible pattern that I've noticed. The drugs of choice seem to be meth and opioids. You don't hear much about gang activity.
