There are areas of town to avoid, just like any city. There are a lot of things people do that are just stupid and almost asking to be hit. Now that winter has hit, leaving your car outside running so it warms up with the doors unlocked is just begging for the car to be stolen. Even if not running, we have way too many people leave their cars unlocked with guns in them. (Or is that a way to sell a gun and double dip with payment for the gun and an insurance claim?) We have a lot of alcohol related family disputes. Research the areas and the crime rates and you should be OK.
