Is KKLS on the radio anymore? Or KIMM Radio? Dang I have almost forgot about AM Radio. In the 80s KKLS 920 format was oldies. And KIMM 1150 would play country.

KKLS, I used to love that station. Now you have me curious if it's still on and still plays the good tunes. We also used to listen to KOMA. Now I listen to Kool98.

I need to check again. It was off the air for a while. I can get KBHB 810 out of Sturgis but can't get 920 or 1150...

KIMM was rock. KRSD was the only country station.
KOTA was a AM station. KOTA had Art doing the weather.
Rapid Valley was OUT of town a ways.
Truck Stop was on East/North st.
Interstate 90 went East of Rapid only.
Deadwood Ave was a road but no business on it.
Dog track was right across the road from the Drive In Movie. Starlight???
A&W carhops brought the trays to hang in your window and they were wearing roller skates.

But that was in the 60's.

There are a few of us who can still remember the Barbarian. But as the old saying goes: if you remember it then you weren't there!

I remember the Michael Jackson Thriller video playing up on the big screen at the Barbarian. All eyes were glued to the big screen! I also remember watching the Buggles: Video killed the radio star (over and over) on the screen at the Barbarian when the thing called MTV first started.

Ladies night was tuesdays....wed nights was dollar pitchers and thurs nights was dime draws.

How about the Ace of Clubs?

Used to do the Dark Canyon cliff diving thing until the kid jumped off the cliff after dark and killed himself. Then the owner said no more. Now there is a house built on the very cliff we used to jump off.

I remember one night getting kicked out of the Barbarian and going skinny dipping up Dark Canyon.... But that is another story.

How about Alcatraz island or Hippie Hole?
