That could be a perfect set up, for a GREAT April Fool's prank!!!!!!!
OMG!!!! You'd better get online and get tickets as soon as they go on sale. When he was in Sx. Falls. tickets sold out in something like 8 minutes online and 15 minutes at the box office~or vice versa. We thought about going to see him cause he is so fabulous!!! Wish RC was just a bit closer cause I'd love to see him. We missed our chance when he was over this way.
I do remember that the only place he wanted to play in So. Dak. was in Rapid City, but the Civic Center was booked the night he was passing through. I figured he probably wouldn't give much of a concert cause he really didn't wanna be in Sx. Falls, but I understand that was totally wrong. It sounds like he gave a great concert over this way.
The news was showing all the people that camped out for tickets and then they interviewed a box office worker and he said camping out was pretty unneccesary because internet, phone, and box office tickets all go on sale at the same time. Just dedicated people I guess.
I urge anyone and everyone to see him. I've seen Elton three times in three decades, he is a showman and a half. And still has that energy! My favorite material of his is still probably the 1970-75 period, like a lot of people, but he has charted SO many songs over the years.
The last time I saw him I'll never forget his version of "Rocket Man". About 1 minute into the song his huge piano slowly and methodically lifted him up over 30 feet up in the air as it was set on a hydraulic platform. And he is playing an extended version that high and slowly descends down again. Great!
See him if you can-Elton won't play any filler material to promote an album, he just plays hits. And there are dozens of those to choose from.

Hi, I just happened on this thread. I have tickets for the Face to Face tour with Elton John and Billy Joel. They will be in Nashville in May. I am so excited! This will be my third time seeing Elton John and second time seeing them both together. What fabulous showmen they both are. I spent $400 on two tickets(wanted to be as close to the front as possible) and believe me it's so worth it! I have always been an Elton John fan! He is hard to beat in concert. He gives you more than your money's worth. He never disappoints!
