I'm not a realtor, but have a good amount of sales experience. This strategy seems really gimmicky, and I agree that as a buyer I would see this and think the sellers were desperate to move the property. You want to price fairly and competitively, but not so that you look desperate.

I agree with MaseMan that the strategy sounds gimmicky. I also agree with whomever stated that it sounded as if this person was also a new agent. Gimmicks might work for selling items on an infomercial - not real estate.
Like others have said, price it right to move your property. I would rather be considered "rude" than be stuck with an Agent that has such a selling "strategy". Yes fellow Agents will see the price changes and see it as a Seller being desperate. If you are just testing the market and don't want to sell quickly, or at all - then you can price it higher. If you want to sell quickly then the strategy is to price it to sell based on data that you can quantify.
Hell, no, it wouldn't be rude! Your need to find an agent who will do the best job for you, and as every reply here indicates, her marketing strategy is not a sound one. I am a member of the general public, but I, too, would probably not even look at your house if it was marketed in that fashion.

Not all all, you have to do what is best for you. We always recommend sellers get a minimum of two opinions, even three, before making a decision on which agent is going to do the job for you. No emotion should be involved in this business decision.

Nope. You need to pick the best Realtor for you. If you still think she'll do a great job marketing the property for you without the "price-drop" strategy, go with her. If not, find one that will.
This is a BIG decision for you to make, and the wrong one could cost you thousands. I've always believed in meeting three realtors.....ones that are the top rated ones in the area in terms of sales/listings, etc.
Let them fight for your business and have them explain their marketing plan. Go with the one who you feel would be the most comfortable and professional to work with.
Thanks to everyone for the advice. We have chosen another realtor who seems much more reasonable. We may have avoided making a huge mistake and I appreciate all the input! This is the first time we've sold a house so I may be back for more advice.
