Interesting.
I wonder if "No Password" means "No Registration?"

I think that is what they meant.

IDX software is still too slow to update,*but this helps make agent websites more competitive. Zillow has been around since 2005. So only 9 years to change a detrimental policy harming it's members.

When I am thinking about a VOW, it gets a little more interesting to invest in it and guess what the local MLS will be doing in another year.

"About time" and "Yawn" get equal votes in my head.

I'm wondering what this does to our privately owned MLS...probably nothing. However, as an owner I now get up to 10 IDX feeds. I will be using them on sites and then giving the leads to my agents, referral fee free.

I know. I'm about halfway through my VOW right now and I think I've decided I'd like to control my own feed and not worry about what IDX software programs can or can't do.

Yeah, I haven't committed yet, but I think I would rather have the full RETS feed, than settle for what the MLS allows to be fed to IDX vendors.
There's a bit of a fuss on the IDXBroker FB group right now about no closed listing displays, and I know it has to do with their worries about compliance with 500 MLSs and also bandwidth.

Yeah it is pretty complex to take all that data, organize it, then spit it back out to all of those different websites.
