I am looking to buy a summer cottage. I found a couple of good ones on the internet. I'm not sure whether or not I should make an offer now or if I should wait to see if any better ones pop up in the next few months. What month usually has the most houses on the market to choose from?

April.

Primarily April 20th is the best day.

Around 3 pm is optimum.

Just kidding, each area is different and even when it isn't the busiest time, the house you may be looking for could be out there.
Just look around and see if you find what you are looking for.

Default I agree

Funny Mike!!

I agree it really depends on the area that you are looking to purchase in. Contact a realtor in your area and they will be able to guide you.

The month that you can comfortably afford to and are ready. Real estate isn't a seasonal thing.

In SoCal the best pricing is generally in the Fall, after school starts, the summer rush. But of course that depends on the current market, inventory levels, etc.
