Are you kidding me????? Is your broker clueless?? YES! Anyone can become an ASHI associate or a FABI associate online with no experience.

Your problem is that your "Broker" is misleading everyone on this board!

You CANNOT become a FULL ASHI or FABI MEMBER just by "Going online".

Like I said before, you earn the ASHI membership through time and experience! They don't give their memberships away. Minimum 250 fee paid inspections that are confirmed through a third party accreditation organization and the passing score of a FOUR HOUR, CLOSED BOOK , PROCTORED test!! Like I said, I rushed through NACHI's online exam under my brother-in-law's name so he could work under me and gain experience while having "the appearance" of being a home inspector. The fool ran off after an apprenticeship of three inspections and became his own inspector. His lack of inspection knowledge and reporting errors got him into trouble, bigtime. So much for your NACHI credentials. My little sister, with a little construction knowledge, passed NACHI's exam the first time. She called me and said WTF! You mean there are people running around out there calling themselves Master Certified Home Inspectors under this label? I said, you betcha! What about all the other "Inspectors" that had someone else take their exam for them? You'll never know till you hire one, will you? Try pulling that crap with ASHI or NAHI. You won't get very far.

This is a good conversation. Everyone in the business knows that ASHI is just a diploma mill.
