Public records on real estate/FOIA question

I think I check them on-line also. But even so, the tax record has the info. So if someone has a pool and it's not on their tax record, they didn't get a permit through the county. Things like finished basements, paved driveways, detached garages which all require permits are listed.

In the Tampa area, FL, it is also very easy and free to access online.....I use it a lot

Same thing in Flagler County. We can see just about everything and the few kinds of records that are not available online we can just go down and look it up. All of the building records, liens, taxes, etc are online. There are very few things you can't get. Ours is very user friendly.
