Great! Now, what will you do with the site, and what will it do for you?
It's a fair question. EVERYONE, including me, says "Get a good website."
NO ONE addresses the question of what that means.
I'll take a crack at it.
Make it a simple domain of your own, not:
www.kh02willgetyouintothehomeofyourdreamsinaweek.c om (broken link)
Have it hosted by a robust web host.
Keep it simple.
Offer content of use to folks who find your site.
Offer content that lets folks see what type of person you are.
Minimize stuff that makes the pages load slowly.
Don't have a splash page. Cut right to it.
Don't make your photo or your dog's photo the focal point.
Keep it from being too much of an extension of your ego.
Pay for a superb IDX solution for clients to search for homes.
Make your IDX solution, a contact page, and some personal and local content available right up front.
Don't make me click forever to find the good stuff.
Make a decision as to whether you will require visitors who use your IDX to register or not. I don't require registration, but you may see it differently.

Don't keep yourself a secret. Particularly from friends and family.
But mailings can be expensive and time-consuming.
Don't make people open an envelope, unless it is a very personal message.
5.5x8 cards can carry a strong message in a mass mailing.

It's sacrilege, but I don't work the phone.
Taking contact is better than making contact, but I work very hard on my internet presence, home shows, mailings, blogging, and taking referrals.
I set up automatic MLS searches for every mortal soul that asks for one, without qualification of their buying ability. And I do not hassle them.
Know yourself, and devise a plan that works for you, that capitalizes on your strengths.
Don't be afraid to say that a certain effort is a failure, and redirect your efforts. Just don't do THAT every week...
Good luck.
