Our 6 year old grandson had a stroke on the playground 3/11/16. He coded on the way to the hospital the morning of 3/14/16 after days of cuncussion treatment and going back and forth to emergency rooms. Today is 3/20/16 and I am searching for possible causes of the stroke. The doctors still don't have a clue what caused it. The have had major mold issues in their home which were not dealt with professionally. I woke up this morning wondering if indeed the exposure might have played a part in it. I appreciate any input that may assist me in this matter. Please Pray For Noah. Thank you, Boejackson

I honestly doubt it. It can contribute to respiratory problems, but I don't see how there would be a direct link between a respiratory issue and a stroke. Some people are predisposed to certain health conditions, including strokes. I hope he's ok. They should have a professional deal with the mold, in any case.
I'm with Chet on this one. Strokes and heart attacks are just not caused by mold.
Wait a minute.... they lived in a house for 4 years without heat and air.....in middle Tennessee? And the house was vacant for 15 years before they bought it????
How about looking at rodent infestation as well? It must have been a moldy mess when they first looked at the house.
And a plumbing leak...I think this post is some kind of joke.

I know there is some anecdotal discussion of mold with causing seizures, heart issues, strokes, etc, but I don't think there has been a research study on it yet showing causation.
