Many chicago residents retire to or have summer homes in Wisconsin. I am 25minutes from Wisconsin Dells, and 45 minutes to Madison. We have a completely remodeled farmette for sale, and I would like to market it to out of state buyers. How do I do this in a cost-effective way? Any help is appreciated.................................

I don't know if the Chicago Tribune still has this available, but about 6 years ago I was able to purchase an "online" only ad. It also might be worth the cost to run an ad in the paper. I believe that with that purchase it goes online.

Have you tried Craigslist for the Chicago area? Liz

I don't know how they work it in Chicago but here you could easily get it in the MLS for not much. If you are using an agent get them to talk someone into sticking it in.

The other obvious one is Craigs list as has already been suggested. The local MLS is of course where most people from Chicago looking for a Wisconsin summer place would look.

Are you advertising in the local paper in your area. I know of buyers that subscribe to the paper(s) of the areas in which they are interested.
Also might want to put up flyers all around your town, esp. the shops that attract tourists. Word of mouth goes a long way. Good luck
