We have been looking since beginning of the year and there have not been many houses in the area we plan to buy. My husband has eyes on one of the houses we saw but honestly I don't think it is the one and has some issues with the location. I'd rather wait. I heard that there were normally more listings in Spring/Summer. Is it true?

Wait..you want MORE housing inventory? Where are you looking? On the Moon?
Typically in my market in Missouri absolutely there is more listings on the market in the spring and summer. I have some people take their homes off the market around Thanksgiving and dont list till March or April for many reasons. Some don't want people tracking in during bad weather and they don't want to move during the cold winter months, they have family in for the holidays and just don't want the hassle. I get busy around March and it lasts thru the summer. Hope this helps. :0) Good luck on your home search.
Yes listings typically swell in the spring but some vacation home markets have a different sales cycle. If you are working with an agent, they can tell you the local sales cycle.
