Our house shifts in the hot Texas summers if we don't keep it watered (and we don't always get it done). The foundation has a "rise" in the center of the house and moves through the kitchen/breakfast area. We're fine with the settling and have no worries about major problems. My question is what type of flooring can we install besides UGLY cheap-looking sheet vinyl ? Living room has carpet and it flows into the kitchen/bfast area which we finally tiled 4 years ago. With a drought plaguing Texas this last summer, we have numerous cracked tiles now.
Anyone know of a solution ? Tile is out, assume hardwood is out, can't carpet the kitchen (!!) so what else is there ?
Laminate ?
High end vinyl (yuck)

duraceramic flooring - Bing
We put Congoleum Duraceramic tile in our master bath a couple of years ago and we love it. Looks like tile, but resilient and warm to the feet. And it is installed as a floating floor, so a little foundation movement should not bother it.
Consumer Reports gives it the highest rating of any flooring material.
Remove the tile and stain the concrete floor. Then put a sealer on it. It will outlast anything else in the house. Tile companies specialize in various stained looks - some mimic tiles, some mimic granite. it's an impregnable finish, nothing can damage a properly sealed concrete floor. I had dogs and cats, do all their business when sick, including vomit, and it just wiped up with no residue.
The use of conjecture( I do not feel, I believe, will help minimize) in the distributed report is astounding to me! Discovery based on a limited, visual inspection with documentation based on knowledge, and recommendations directing the client to acquire additional information is what we should expect to see. The wording in the original post is a call to get further expert counsel by default!
I'm not advertising here, but call RamJack. The problem with your home is exactly the type of thing they repair. They will guarantee their work. If you get an up-front estimate, you can use it to negotiate a lower cost for the home. The end.
I wouldnt be so quick to rule out high end vinyl. It actually has improved dramatically over the years, the designs available are endless, and as long as you dont choose a glossy finish, it really doesnt scream out "vinyl". Keep an open mind, as it might be the best fit for your flooring needs.
