They may have to move for family, financial and/or medical reasons (death, divorce, illness), and may not be all that happy about moving. Not everyone is thrilled about making a big move from one part of the country to another. Or if it was a husband and wife, maybe one is being transferred and the other hates the thought of it (kids changing schools, new friends, etc.). I've seen couples on the verge of divorce over a transfer, and some even got divorced shortly afterward. They may have been right in the middle of a spat.

That is strange, but sounds a bit hopeful that they were requesting further info on the house...I wish you all the luck, I hope you get an offer!

It happens here all the time in Los Angeles, they call, see it,and make an offer, those are the best. they know what they want.
I usually don't ask them questions. Some are just there to buy, not to make a friend.Where the money comes from,I will not ask. As long as they have the money, and some even pay cash,so, great!

Could they have looked at other houses with different agents and they just met them at the airport? Your agent could have dropped them off at the airport and another one came and picked them up to see a different house? It is a bit strange. Jay

Is this a monster, multi-million dollar, super unique house? Or just a house?

Just asking.

I wish! No but it is waterfront on the Mississippi, 1 acre, 3200sf, brick and stone, walkout rambler. Nice, but not the kind of home rich people would usually fly cross country to see. It's under 400K.

real investors look at something,if they like it they would buy it.may be a tear down or a waterfront.
