And if the house was empty?

When I had my house on the market, my (terrific) real estate agent held several open houses.

To be frank, in this market the house wasn't exactly swamped with visitors - - just a handful during each open house. I'm sure he would have appreciated having someone to talk to, rather than to just sit there in my staged home staring at the walls.

And as for me? I didn't care that some neighbors or non-interested people came through, at all. My home looked gorgeous. All my personal items were removed, and of course I had removed all prescription medications and so on. My agent must have kept an eye on everyone, because nothing was stolen or even moved.
