I am looking at buying a home that needs a new exterior paint job and a new roof.

Does anyone have any ideas of some colors that would look good together in regards into the painting the exterior of the home and the new roof.

The home is currently lime green. It needs a new roof pretty soon.

As for the paint job I was thinking about repainting the house because I do not really like the lime green color.

If I could find some colors that might look good with the lime green then I might just repaint the trim and keep the majority home lime green.

You aren't in a HOA evidently. So you are free to pick what you want. I love a med blue house with dark navy trim/shutters and a gray roof.

A white trim.

I like neutral colored houses. I know it's a little cookie cutter, however, you can add a bright color door and some bright foliage around the house.

Funny but we just bought a house that is green and will need a new roof in the next few years. I've also been trying to come up with colors that I will have to be happy with for the next few years until we side it.

Please, please don't paint your house green! Sooo 1950's. Yuck!

Maybe it's just me, when I was a kid my family came home from a vacation and couldn't find our house. It was the same shape as we left, same roof line, same windows, but when we left it was yellow and now there was a horrible avocado green colored house where our house used to be.

Turned out my grandmother as a "special gift" to my parents had the whole house painted inside and out while we were gone. She was so proud and happy. My parents were speechless, which was probably a good thing... We had to live with that horrible green and off white interior for about 10 years.
