Construction is finally under way on the new World Trade Center site in New York, but there's one little problem: No one actually wants space in any of the buildings. The third tower, 3 World Trade Center, has had to halt construction at the eighth floor—it's supposed to have 80—because it can't find a tenant, and can't build higher without one under the developer's deal with the city, the Wall Street Journal reports.

Your first sentence is mis-leading, as I read the article. It's not that "no one actually wants space in ANY of the buildings". The first tower is 55% leased, and it's not that the rest of the space will not be in demand eventually, it's just that the traditional types of WTC tenants (financial firms) have been going through rough economic times, like everyone else, and can't make huge leasing commitments at this time. Has nothing to do with the site or buildings themselves, as the article implies by its title.

I didn't write the article. Eliot Brown is one that wrote the article and he used New Hitch In Ground Zero Plans: No Takers as his title.

Part of the problem is these companies scattered all over Manhattan and NJ after the original attack and even in NYC, this is an awful lot of square footage to absorb in one area at one time, especially with the economic situation.

Yes, I know. I didn't say you wrote the article. I said the title of the article was mis-leading, as was your first sentence about no one wanting space in any of the buildings.
