I am concerned about listing with an old friend in the Inland Empire of California.
I have a property I want to sell in the Inland Empire as well. Six weeks ago I brought
it up to my real estate agent friend that I wanted to sell. I have called her often and emailed as well over the past six weeks. I am in Canada and this friend has never called me at all because she doesn't have a
long distance plan for Canada. I have emailed and it takes her days to get any answer back. As well she rarely picks up the phone. This person
has also told me that we could start up in the beginning of August.

Here it is the ninth of August and no word. I emailed yesterday and still no word. I feel like I'm just wasting time with this person. She has been in the business a long time too. Is this normal that realtors just don't get in touch much with sellers? We have not signed any contracts. Oh, LOL, and apart from that fact she never gets back as a friend. She is a super busy person but for business I would expect someone to be very prompt. Should I look for another realtor or am I impatient? I feel like this is just not professional behavior. She said if she personally sells I would be charged only 4%. Is this a case of you get what you pay for?

It is definitely not professional behavior. Why would you think it takes more than a few hours to get a response from someone? Move on and get an agent who wants your business.

OK! Thanks for the reality check. That's two votes to move on. I won't waste anymore time.
