Default Fractional bathrooms

What do you consider a 1/4 bathroom, 1/2 bathroom, and 3/4 bathroom?

Before our house remodeling, we had a full bathroom downstairs and what I would consider a half-bathroom (toilet but no shower or bath) downstairs. But what are a 1/4 and 3/4 bathrooms? 1/4 with just a John and no sink (or just a sink and no toilet)?

Personally I think of them as full or half. It either has a shower/tub or it doesn't.

sink and toilet =1/2
sink, toilet and shower =3/4
sink, toilet and tub =4/4
sink, toilet, shower and tub = a wasteful indulgence

Yeah, I've never heard of a 1/4 bath either. Not sure such a thing exists.

Our MLS has actually gotten rid of the 3/4 bath designation. Toilet/sink = 1/2 bath. Anything more, whether a tub, a shower, or both, is a full bath. But yes, as previously said, the typical definition of a 3/4 bath means it has a shower, but no tub.

I have what some other condo owners have called a quarter bath- it's a large vanity (larger than in the full bath) in its own room, with two doors- one heading into the full bath and the other into the hallway. Think the random sink sitting outside the bathroom in a hotel. I just call it a builders' mistake from the 1980s.

I think that's referred to as a Hollywood bath. As in primping in front of the mirror and not hogging the "business" side of the bathroom.
