Hi, my husband and i have been interviewing realtors lately in reguards to selling our home and quite truthfully have been underwhelmed. Nice folks but not much "on the ball" good feeling or even much" get up and go". IT is a small town but we expected alittle more enthusiam. Is there a web site you can go to check on who is selling the most homes in your area. Thank you for your help. Vicki

All of them ought to be able to produce some data from their MLS showing where they rank. Mine does and I use it frequently.

I doubt seriously if there are any public websites or even any sort of public information anywhere else.

Thanks so much but we face an uphill battle. The last one did not even have "comps" to show us so i am betting she did not have the MLS ranking. Thank you for that piece of info , we will ask for that , as well as comps. It really is a small town and business seems to be done by who you know, which in some cases is wonderful but for this we want the top seller. Vicki

Vicki, do you expect an agent to magically come up with comps if there aren't any available? It does happen.

I don't get the last 2 comments but to answer the OP's question I think you have 2 or 3 options-
Ask the agents to bring out their # of sales in the last 12 months from MLS, call the brokers and ask for their top listing agent and let them know they'll be competing, look at realtor.com to see who has lots of listings and good photos. Small town yelp or zillow recommendations probably aren't there but maybe that too.

What about a local licensee who posts on City-Data in North Carolina?

Ask them "how many sides did you do in the last 12 months?"
"Provide proof for that number"
