I see that the vent picture drives other people as crazy as it drives me. In my opinion, MLS photos shouldn't raise more questions than they answer!

Yes, it's an odd place for a vent. In the lower corner of a wall instead of on the floor (if the house has a crawlspace) or out of the ceiling. I've seen vents at the top of the wall and the bottom of the wall but never in a corner. I'm curious as to what's on the other side of the wall. Let's call and find out. LOL

Yes, LET'S! And let's tell the realtor that he/she sort of sucks while we're at it! Actually every one of the photos of that listing were horrible.

I especially like when photos on listings come out this way . . .

I either have to download the photo and rotate it or tip my head sideways.

Oh, yes, those are great.

I like the ones with PETS in them!

And what's with the post on the bed? Post as in singular.

lol. What a fun way to stay entertained while people are looking at your house. I don't have a security system but I thought at one time that I might have to charge up my old I-Touch and put it on record and slip it under the bed while I'm gone so that I could hear what people were saying about my house.

Usually when people come look at my house, I drive down the road and park my car and go jogging for an hour or so. Figured I'd make some use out of my time and get some exercise in.

Please tell me someone didn't have that pic listed to show off their house. That's gross.

In my neck of the woods, most of the brokers who specialize in bank-owned properties do not see the property more than the initial visit. In some cases, the initial visit is delegated, too. They tend to have no interest in working with buyers of distressed property.

In some cases, the asset manager agreements and referral fees do not provide much incentive for some brokers to do more.

There have been a few cases of squatting and/or the house being stripped down to the studs. Plumbing, electrical....everything gone. One situation included the landscaping.
