Yes this could be suspicious, just ask someone staying nearby that apartment. I had similar experience too, we were about to purchase a apartment in chicago for a decent rate, turns out next day i came to know about the owners wife suicide. So be careful

Retirement community to me means old folks and they die. My parents and my in laws are both retirement age, but are in no way ready for a retirement community, so the residents tend to be older. I once bought a townhouse from a couple where the wife fell down the stairs and they deemed it just too unsafe to be in for her because the bedrooms were upstairs and she probably shouldn't navigate the stairs anymore (she was in her 80s).

I'd just ask the listing agent. If anything nefarious has happened, aren't they required to tell you?

Would you be suspicious? People can give any "good" reason for claiming to say they are leaving.

There are two 2013 homes for sale on this same street in a retirement community Del Webb.

Has anyone had experience seeing a 2013 or "brand new" but pre-owned home for sale in a few months?

What are your thoughts?
Did anyone move into the house? I mean was it truly new, had a contract and it never went to settlement and now is back on the market?
